Goldfishes

I think that the charm of a goldfish is having the individuality . They are completely differenteach other(also appearance and character).Those who breed goldfishes often name own goldfishes. The reason is that they have the such individuality. They swim with sufficient relations in a tank without fights.
The upper picture is the Oranda which is living in my home from the summer of 2003. His name is Chibi= Zoltan.(Chibi means Small in Japanese.)
A lower picture is the White-Oranda which came to my home at the end of January, 2004. His (or her) name is Shiro-san=Chicory. (Shiro is White. This name is means "Mr.white"). Both of them are still small.The length except the tail is about 4cm(about 1.5 inches).
As for them, character is different.Chibi is doing gently. Shiro-san is active and swims speedily.

Otocinclus

I just wanted to see the scene to which goldfishes swim above water plants. Therefore, I did not have the intention of keeping living things other than a goldfish. But...since brown algae (diatom?)occurred in the tank, I needed the fish which cleans them. Otocinclus is best at clean up the tank,I think.
But,one day,Shiro-san ate a Otoshincles! And his (or her)throat was blocked with it. I who did this tragedy before my eyes took out Otocinclus from the tank . Now ,they are not live with Goldfishes.

Green neon shrimp

It is popular to breed Caridina japonica as creaners of aquarium. But they are large in stature and polyphagia. I worried that goldfishes might be attacked from them. So, I desided to keep Green neon shrimps which are small and gentle.
This kind of shrimps breed in a tank. Caridina japonica can't breed in fresh water.

Clithon corona

I love the shape of this shellfish .The prickle has grown in the shell.They eat the algae attached on the surface of glass. Their motion is quickly beyond anticipation. This kind of shellfishes can't breed in fresh water. If you wish breed them, you have to prepare the tank of sea mingled with fresh water or sea water.
